Applied Biosafety: Journal of ABSA International to move to SAGE Publishing

Los Angeles, CA- SAGE Publishing is pleased to announce that it has partnered with ABSA International to publish Applied Biosafety: Journal of ABSA International. ABSA International is committed to promoting global biosafety awareness, preventing exposures of biohazards in the laboratory and releases to the environment, and developing and sharing best safety practices among biosafety professionals, architects, engineers, and researchers that handle these substances through the publication of Applied Biosafety.

Applied Biosafety publishes new biosafety research, editorials, commentaries, reviews, policy issues, and position papers. The quarterly journal encourages submissions that further the profession of biosafety, biotechnology, research, medicine, and all related professions.

“As the largest biosafety association in the world, with the only peer-reviewed biosafety journal, ABSA International is excited about the positive impact of our partnership with SAGE,” commented Edward J. Comprised of more than 1,400 biosafety professionals and practitioners throughout the world, ABSA International was founded in 1984 to promote and expand biological safety expertise. ABSA conducts biosafety courses at the beginner and advanced levels, as well as hosting an Annual Biological Safety Conference to keep its members informed of current biosafety issues and regulatory initiatives, which are also addressed in the journal.
