Sage In Session
Join Sage Engagement for Sage In Session, a series of events on using Sage digital resources in research and teaching, both online and on campus. Sage In Session presenters bring years of experience as librarians, faculty members, course planners, and editors to each one-hour session to give you practical ways to increase student engagement and enhance research with Sage library resources.
These sessions are open to librarians and faculty who currently have access to Sage resources at their institution or who would like to learn more about these platforms and their content.
Topics, dates, times, and registration links will be listed below. A recording of the session will be sent to each registrant. We look forward to seeing you there!
2023 Sage In Session Summer Series:
Dive deep into Sage Learning Resources with Sage Engagement as we take an in-depth look at how Sage Learning Resources can assist faculty and librarians throughout various aspects of the research process. Each one-hour session offers unique approaches to increase student engagement in research as well as enhance teaching and learning about research.
Sessions will be held virtually through Zoom at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET. All registered attendees will receive a recording following the session.

Kathleen Saylor
Faculty Engagement Partner
Faculty Engagement Partner Kathleen Saylor creates curricula-mapped, online, multimedia resources to support faculty and academics across disciplines. Her valuable experience as an acquisitions editor for Sage Video, where she spent 18 months developing new academic video content, drives her passion for supporting customers. Kathleen is an ardent advocate for all kinds of digital resources, and she is motivated by the concepts of content preservation, education, and the dissemination of knowledge. She earned her Master of Letters in History at the University of Glasgow, and in her spare time, Kathleen is an amateur wine educator, folk music festival goer, and proud pet mom. Ana Guimaraes, MLIS
Engagement Librarian
Ana is a librarian with over 15 years of public services and collection development experience in academic libraries, including public archives and university special collections. She has a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/English from the State University of New York at Geneseo. Jessica Gradeci
Senior Engagement Partner
Jessica joined Sage in 2011 and works with our librarian partners to better understand how to utilize and integrate Sage databases in their institutions. Her academic experience in the humanities and literature offers a valuable perspective in using Sage databases from a multidisciplinary approach. She also enjoys working with faculty and students and showing them how Sage resources can be a valuable tool in their work and research. Jessica holds a BA in Writing and Rhetoric from Pepperdine University and an MA in Humanities from Mount Saint Mary’s University. A native and resident of California, she enjoys life with her husband and two kids, cooking, hiking, and scoping out new parks for the kiddos to explore. Contact her at Jessica.gradeci@sagepub.com.
Kaneisha Gaston
Engagement Librarian
Kaneisha Gaston is a teaching librarian at heart. Prior to joining Sage in 2022, she designed compelling lessons and library training integrating critical information literacy and anti-racist teaching pedagogy as an instruction and outreach librarian. As a Library Engagement Manager at Sage, she creates captivating and culturally sustaining training aligning Sage resources with institutional missions and users’ inquiries. Kaneisha earned her BA in English and Africana Studies from Davidson College, and MA in English from UNC Charlotte, and her MLIS from North Carolina Central University. Carolina born and bred, Kaneisha uses her free time to read Africana literature and folklore, browse “booktok”, and connect with family on the front porch. Rachel Crookes
Associate Director, Sage Campus
Rachel Crookes is the Associate Director of Sage Campus, our online course resource. Rachel has worked in online course development since 2015, and in publishing since 2002. She loves creative instructional approaches to teaching methods, using various techniques, resources and tools to build learner mastery.
