SAGE to begin publishing two titles from the Council for Exceptional Children: Exceptional Children and TEACHING Exceptional Children

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE is delighted to announce that it will begin publishing two journals from The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Exceptional Children (EC) and TEACHING Exceptional Children (TEC), beginning March 2014.

Published quarterly, EC includes original research and analyses that focus on the education and development of exceptional infants, toddlers, children, youth, and adults. For more than 75 years, the journal has been a prominent source of research, research reviews, methodological reviews of literature, data-based position papers, and policy analyses from a variety of perspectives by leaders in the field. The research it publishes is quantitative, qualitative, and single-subject.

TEC is a bi-monthly publication tailored to teachers, administrators, and practitioners who work closely with children and youth who have disabilities and/or gifts and talents.. The journal advances professional development by providing the latest information on instructional technologies, strategies, procedures, and any techniques that might be used in the instruction of exceptional children. TEC articles are based on current evidence-based practice for use in a wide variety of educational programs and settings.

Established in 1922, CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the education and quality of life for children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. CEC accomplishes this by advocating for governmental policies for individuals with exceptionalities, helping set professional standards, and helping to provide necessary resources for professional practice.
